If you are looking for a quiet beach in the FL Panhandle, Cape San Blas is the place! Cape San Blas is 20 miles long and a mile wide at it's widest point---10 of the 20 miles is St. Joseph Peninsula State Park and there are NO highrise condo's, no commercialism and NO CROWDS or traffic jams! The beaches are expanses of uncrowded, unspoiled, white sand and are PET -FRIENDLY--just ranked the #1 DOG FRIENDLY beach in the USA! Cape San Blas, Florida is in the FL Panhandle between Port St. Joe and Apalachicola, just West of St. George Island and East of Mexico Beach. The beaches were ranked #1 in the USA (including Hawaii) by Dr. Stephen Leatherman (Dr. Beach) in 2002! Why? White sand beaches as far as you can see.... The beaches are clean and uncrowed.... 10 of the 20 mi. of Cape San Blas is St. Joseph Peninsula State Park No highrises are allowed! Dogs are allowed on the beach anytime, so bring your dogs and let them chase some crabs...... Horseback riding and bonfires ON the beach.... We have 4 - 2 bedroom townhouses in Barrier Dunes and they are all pet friendly--the beach welcomes your dogs as well!! Barrier Dunes is located just outside the gates of St. Joseph Peninsula State Park and has 2 pools (1 is gulf front) and lighted tennis courts! We also offer snowbird discounts---fall and winter are our off season and the golf weather is perfect! The beach weather is perfect in the fall and there are lots of festivals and other events!
